Aerial Gym

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning workout that is made up of functional movement performed at a high intensity level. These movements are actions that you perform in your day-to-day life, like squatting, pulling, pushing etc. Many workouts feature variations of squats, push-ups, and weight lifting that last for predetermined amounts of time to help build muscles.

Our youth classes are for ages 8-16. We divide classes based on skill and age when needed. If your child progresses both physically and mentally, they can be assessed for early admission into adult classes. Our youth classes are designed to teach students an array of aerial skills along with proper safety techniques. All aerial skills are taught low to the ground until students have gained the experience and strength to move higher in the equipment.

Our adult aerial classes for ages 18 and up. These classes are designed to teach adults an array of aerial skills along with proper safety techniques. All aerial skills are taught low to the ground until adults have gained the experience and strength to move higher in the equipment. No adult is too old or out of shape, we will start with the absolute basics and you will leave feeling a sense of accomplishment.

If I have no prior experience in any type of training like this… Can I still come in for a class?

Of course! We limit class size in order to prioritize your safety. We have many beginner level classes without prerequisites, like Intro to Aerial, Flexibility, CirqueFit and more. As you build your skills you can move up to our higher level classes!

What is the minimum age for your classes?

Adult Classes: All classes are for Adults unless 'Youth" is in the title. Minimum age is 16. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver and meet all the prerequisites for class to enroll. Circus Classes for Youth: We offer circus classes for youth in Aerial Arts, Acrobatics, Circus Skills, and Strength & Flexibility. All classes are one hour. Students must be between 6-14 years old.

I’ve trained elsewhere, how can I take upper level classes?

Many of our classes have the prerequisite of “instructor approval” which can be obtained three ways: First, you can attend an Intro to Aerial class and speak with the instructor about your training goals before class. The instructor will evaluate your skills during class and let you know if you are eligible for approval. Please let the front desk know if you obtain a prerequisite approval. Second, you can take a private lesson with an instructor who teaches the discipline in order to be appropriately placed in leveled classes. The third option is to send a non-password protected link of a recent video of yourself performing or training in the circus art you want to study to Our instructors can evaluate your skills from the video and make their recommendations about appropriate class placement.

How much do classes cost?

Check the Prices page for most up-to-date rate information and current package deals.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable, breathable workout clothes that allow you a full range of movement, like yoga or dancewear. Since many of our classes include inverted movement such as handstands, baggy clothes are not recommended. For classes that use aerial apparatuses, it is most comfortable to wear workout pants that cover the knees. Shoes are not necessary for any of our classes except CirqueFit. Athletic sneakers are required to participate. In some training spaces you will be asked to remove your outdoor shoes.
